AISG (antenna interface standards group) is an antenna interface standards organization, which is mainly used for remote control of base station antennas and tower amplifiers. AISG includes interface specifications and protocols and defines the standards and communication procedures for related interface communication. Regardless of whether the built-in RCU or the external RCU is connected to the RRU through the AISG control line.

At present, almost all ESC antenna systems use the AISG protocol. AISG is the abbreviation of Antenna Interface Standards Organization. It is an antenna standard industry organization initiated by some international antenna brand manufacturers such as KATHERIN. Protocols, etc., so that the antenna equipment produced by various manufacturers can be monitored and managed in a unified manner. The relevant standards have been upgraded to AISG2.0. Here are the main differences between its three versions:

AISG1.0

In hardware, it supports 12V and 24V power supply modes, and the communication interface adopts RS485 mode; in software, multiple parameters can be modified at one time when data is modified.

AISG1.1
On the basis of 1.0, the AB signal of the 485 interface is clearly defined; in software, only one parameter can be modified at a time.

AISG2.0
On the basis of 1.1, the 12V power supply mode is removed, and only one 24V power supply is used, but it needs to support a wide voltage range of 10~30V. The software has added support for multi-tower placement, and redefines some parameters and commands.

3GPP2

3GPP2 is a set of 3G system remote control protocols formulated by some mobile communication operators and some system integrators. The 3GPP2 standard uses the same definitions as AISG2.0 in hardware. But the software supports multi-tower and multi-drive management. The instructions are very similar. This standard is not widely used at present. Over time, the AISG and 3GPP2 standards will continue to merge.
